Background

Humming Web is a software as a service (SaaS) business offering digital marketing solutions. Despite having solid content and a few first-page rankings, they struggled to attract significant traffic due to the highly competitive nature of their industry.

Many target keywords had small search volumes but were extremely valuable, with potential returns of $100k+ per client. Given that some PPC costs were as high as $130 per click, the need for effective SEO was clear.

Looking at Competitors

A competitive gap analysis helped us pinpoint keywords that Humming Web’s competitors ranked for but they did not. This analysis yielded 301 keywords with search volumes between 300 and 10,000 per month, all of which had substantial CPC values.
